Where there's a Will there's a Way

so i just made some nutella chocolate chip cookie and Xander was insistent that he wanted one. He tried just about everything to get a cookie then finally went in the living room to give up...or so we thought.

he walks over to this sesame street toy and clicks on the cookie monster who then sings "c is for cookie, its good enough for me".  he comes back into the kitchen and looks up at me trying to get me to pick him up. (i just so happen to be standing next to the plate of cookies) When i pick him up he reaches over and tries to snag one off a plate.

if it wasn't so close to his bedtime, i might have just given him one for his efforts.  haha

walking update

Xander is moving right along with his newly developing skill of walking.  Last night, he took about 7 or 8 steps from the couch to the coffee table without falling.  He's getting more and more comfortable with taking steps and will try to see how far he can go between the couches.  It's adorable when he successfully makes a trip and then looks to us for praise.

Father's Day

Xander is proving to be quite thoughtful.  For Valentines Day this year, he gave Matt and I hugs and kisses (6 months old).  For Mother's Day, he crawled around the house saying "mama, mom, mama".  For Father's Day, he crawled around the house saying "dada dada dada".
