Father's Day
Xander is proving to be quite thoughtful. For Valentines Day this year, he gave Matt and I hugs and kisses (6 months old). For Mother's Day, he crawled around the house saying "mama, mom, mama". For Father's Day, he crawled around the house saying "dada dada dada".

baby steps
Xander's been getting more comfortable walking around while holding on to things and standing in general, but last night he took 3 steps all by himself!! Of course, as soon as he realized what he did, he immediately plopped to his butt, but I was SO proud!
new teeth
Xander is now sporting 3 new teeth for a total of 6. He still has 2 more coming in that should be in here soon. Although he hasn't had any fevers with them, the poor boy does NOT sleep well...which means mommy doesn't sleep well either. Here's hoping he can get the rest out soon so we can all breathe (and sleep) a little easier.

Early Mother's Day Present
From the time he was just a few weeks old, Xander has been saying "Mom" when he cries. Obviously, he wasn't old enough to associate it with me, but it was really neat to hear (even amongst the cries). Yesterday, he started saying it while playing around! All last night and this morning, he's been crawling all over the house saying "mom, mama, mom, mama". What an awesome Mother's Day gift.

on the move
Since Xander started crawling, he has been truckin' all over the house. The other night, while Matt was in Connor's room reading him a bedtime story, Xander crawled from the kitchen, down the hall and then smacked Connor's door open. He crawled right in and up to the boys so he could hang out with them. It was so adorable.
Xander Crawling
This is a couple weeks late, but here's a video of Xander crawling for the first time.
Since then, he has become adept at climbing steps (we only have single steps in our house so he's safe) and even moving around while standing.
